Jarvee shut down, so the question behind “is Jarvee safe” has changed: the Jarvee Instagram bot is no longer available to buy. Its website now says the service is permanently closed, and this page explains what is confirmed, what is not, and what people use instead.
We kept this page because many people still search for Jarvee. Everything below comes from pages read on 21 October 2026. We do not run or test automation tools, so this is desk research and nothing here is a hands-on review.
Quick answer: Jarvee is closed. Its home page shows the heading “Service Permanently Closed” and says “Jarvee is permanently closed”, read on 21 October 2026. Status: shut down. Price: not available, there is nothing to buy. Safety: do not pay anyone claiming to sell Jarvee licences, and treat any “cracked” copy as a malware risk. Alternatives that exist today are listed below.
What Jarvee was
Jarvee was a social media automation tool. The proxy industry news site Proxyway described it in September 2022 as one of the most popular tools of its kind, one that “supported all major social media platforms, had many features, and active developers”. For Instagram, that meant software that follows, likes and posts on a schedule you set, instead of you doing it by hand. What happened to Jarvee
On 21 October 2026 the home page of Jarvee’s website showed one message: “We regret to inform you that Jarvee is permanently closed.” It adds that “all that remains is the blog”. It gives no closure date and no reason.
Outside sources put the closure in September 2022. Proxyway published “Jarvee shuts down” on 21 September 2022 and said the site “simply shows a message that the service is permanently closed”. Owlead, a competing tool maker, dates the announcement to 20 September 2022. Because Owlead is a competitor, treat that exact date with some caution. The two sources agree on the month.
Why it closed is not confirmed. Proxyway says the creators gave no public explanation. It reports that users who asked privately were told Jarvee had grown too complex for beginners and that the team wanted to focus on existing customers. It also says Jarvee struggled with Instagram’s increasingly strict measures in its final years and floats legal pressure from a platform as a possibility, which it labels speculation. We cannot confirm any of those reasons.
The Jarvee blog still publishes, but the posts we saw on 21 October 2026 were general articles on subjects such as SEO and recruitment, plus a phone-automation review. None of them mentioned the closure. A live blog does not mean the software is for sale.
How tools like Jarvee work
Tools in this category log in to your account, or act through it, and perform actions at a pace you configure: following, unfollowing, liking, commenting, messaging and posting. Instagram does not offer an official way for outside software to do the growth part of that. In November 2018 Instagram said it considers third-party apps that inflate popularity a violation of its Community Guidelines and Terms of Use, which is the root of the safety question below. Older articles quote monthly prices. We cannot confirm any of them and do not repeat them. If a site offers a Jarvee licence today, there is no official seller for it.
Safety and risks
Buying or downloading “Jarvee” now. The only official site says the service is closed. A page selling licences, a discount code or a download may be unrelated to the original team. Paying it risks your money, and installing a cracked file risks your computer and every account you log in to on it. “JarveePro” appears on review sites as a separate name, and we have not checked how it relates to Jarvee.
Automation on Instagram in general. Instagram’s November 2018 announcement says it removes fake likes, follows and comments created by third-party apps, asks affected accounts to change their passwords, and warns that accounts that keep using such apps “may see their Instagram experience impacted”. That is a stated policy from Instagram, not a prediction for any one account. Tools that automate actions or ask for your password carry a real risk of action blocks, removed activity or a ban.
Pros and cons
What it did well, per outside sources: it covered many platforms, had active developers for years and was widely used in its niche.
Limits:
- It is closed, so there is nothing to use.
- No closure reason was ever given publicly.
- Its category sits against Instagram’s rules.
- Its pricing and features cannot be verified any more.
Who it suited
It suited people running many accounts on several networks who accepted the rules risk. That group now has to choose a different route. Anyone who only wants to post on a schedule does not need an automation bot at all.
