Stim Social Review: Pricing, Safety and Risks

Stim Social is a paid Instagram growth service that automates follows and welcome messages for your account, and this Stim Social review sets out what its own site says as of 21 October 2026. Our 2019 article on it was written when the service worked differently, so this page replaces it.

We do desk research only. We did not sign up for, pay for or run Stim Social, so nothing below is a hands-on result. It comes from Stim Social’s homepage and terms and from the independent sources listed at the end, all read on 21 October 2026. Where a detail could not be confirmed, we say so.

Quick answer: Stim Social is still operating and sells four plans, from $39 a month ($19 a month on annual billing). Its terms say you must give it your Instagram username and password, that you use the service at your own risk and that it guarantees no results. We found no free trial on the pages we read, so the five-day trial in our 2019 article cannot be confirmed.

Status: active. Price from: $39 a month (Entry, billed monthly). Safety: password required, risk of action blocks.

Checklist for Stim Social: active, from a month, Instagram password required per its terms, no free trial found, case-by-case refunds, action block risk.
Stim Social automates follows and welcome messages and asks for your Instagram username and password.

What Stim Social is

Stim Social describes itself as a tool for growing your Instagram following and sales. It sits in our Growth Services category: you pay a monthly or yearly fee and the service acts on your account, instead of selling you a one-off batch of followers.

The homepage’s copyright line names Status 1 Technologies, and the terms say the service is operated by that company, based in Dover, Delaware. The terms also say it is not affiliated with Meta or TikTok. The site was loading normally, with working sign-in and sign-up links and no closure or parked-domain notice. We found no rebrand.

One thing worth knowing: the four-plan price list on Stim Social’s homepage matches, figure for figure, the list on the pricing page of Nitreo (our review), and some terms wording is close too. We do not know whether the two services are related, so we only note the overlap.

How it works

You create an account, connect your Instagram login and pick targets: accounts and hashtags related to your niche, plus audience filters. The service then follows and unfollows accounts for you, in the hope that some of them notice your profile and follow you back.

The terms confirm the key requirement. Customers must provide their social media username and password. The company says it encrypts passwords and does not share them with third parties, and that you must keep the password current, because downtime from an outdated password is not refunded.

The terms do not explain the technical method. They say the service works within the limits set by Instagram for each account, that results depend on factors such as account history and trust score, and that the company will not post or comment on your behalf. Treat anything beyond that as unconfirmed.

Features

The homepage lists these capabilities.

Follow and unfollow automation

  • Automated follows and unfollows on your behalf
  • Speed that rises with the plan, from Low to Turbo

Targeting and filters

  • Targeting by account or hashtag
  • Audience filters

Messaging and reporting

  • Welcome direct message automation
  • Insights, analytics and reports
  • Priority support (listed as a plan feature, with no hours given)

Our 2019 article described auto-liking, a “Clean Feed” feature and a hands-on managed plan with a human team. None of these appear in the homepage text we read, so we do not repeat them as current features. The plan named “Managed” on the homepage is a speed tier, and we found no statement that a person manages your account.

Stim Social pricing (read on 21 October 2026)

Plan Followers per month (claimed) Growth speed Monthly billing Annual billing
Entry 600+ Low $39 $19 a month ($229 a year)
Professional (most popular) 800+ Medium $69 $34 a month ($409 a year)
Managed 1,200+ High $119 $64 a month ($769 a year)
Elite 3,000+ Turbo $239 $109 a month ($1,309 a year)

The follower figures are the site’s own estimates. The terms say the company does not guarantee specific results, follower quantity, quality or engagement, and that fake or inactive followers may occur.

  • Free trial: none mentioned on the pages we read.
  • Cancelling: the homepage says “Cancel anytime”. The terms add that you must cancel at least 24 hours before the billing cycle ends, or you owe the final month, and that pausing interactions in the dashboard does not cancel the subscription.
  • Refunds: case by case and never guaranteed. Yearly and multi-month plans are generally non-refundable, and refunds for unexpected service issues are only considered within 30 days of purchase, at the company’s discretion.

The 2019 prices in our old article ($9.95 to $99.95 a month) are long out of date. Two other managed growth services we have reviewed are Upleap (our review) and Kicksta (our review).

Safety and risks

Stim Social acts on your account automatically and logs in with your password. In November 2018, Instagram announced that it would remove fake likes, follows and comments from third-party apps and ask affected accounts to set a new password, and that accounts which keep using such apps may see their experience affected. Services of this kind go against Instagram’s rules, and action blocks are a known outcome.

The terms put the risk on you: the customer uses the service at their own risk, and it is provided as is. We found no safety guarantee on the pages we read.

Businesses should also know the US Federal Trade Commission’s rule on fake reviews and testimonials. It bans selling or buying fake indicators of social media influence, but only where the buyer knew or should have known they were fake and used them to misstate their influence commercially. Stim Social’s terms say fake or inactive followers may occur. This is not legal advice.

If you go ahead regardless:

  1. Use an account you can afford to have limited.
  2. Turn on two-step verification and use a password you use nowhere else.
  3. Do not run a second automation tool on the same account.
  4. Review the account’s login activity in Instagram’s settings from time to time.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • A working site with a named operator and published terms.
  • Four tiers with clear monthly and annual prices.
  • Targeting by account, hashtag and audience filters.
  • Terms that state plainly that results are not guaranteed.

Cons

  • It needs your Instagram password.
  • Automated follows carry a risk of action blocks.
  • No trial found, and yearly plans are generally non-refundable.
  • Pausing in the dashboard does not stop billing.
  • No guarantee of follower numbers or that followers are real.

Who it suits

It suits someone who accepts the account risk and wants hands-off follow automation, and who has read the cancellation terms. It does not suit anyone whose income depends on a single account, or who wants to keep their password private. If you want to try growth without a login, start with ways to grow engagement without a tool or our free Instagram followers comparison.

Alternatives

Comparable services include Nitreo, Upleap and Kicksta, all mentioned above. They also act on your account or sell followers and carry similar risks. Our roundup of Instagram growth services compares more of them.

Another one we reviewed: our Flock Social review (7-day free trial; from $39 monthly).
