Is PathSocial Legit? Path Social Review

Is PathSocial legit? It is a real, operating Instagram growth service with a working billing and support setup, but its own promises sit awkwardly beside a large pile of unhappy customer reviews. This review sets out what Path Social’s pages said when we read them on 21 October 2026, what independent sources report, and what to weigh before paying.

We do desk research only. We did not sign up for, pay for or run Path Social. Everything below comes from the provider’s pages (one of them read through an archived copy, as explained below) and from the independent sources listed at the end, all read on 21 October 2026.

Quick answer: Path Social is still trading. It sells monthly Instagram growth plans (Core and Elite) that promise “real” followers through influencer shout-outs, newsletters and targeting, and its pages say it does not ask for your Instagram password. The independent picture is poor: on Trustpilot, 80% of the 1,362 reviews of the main domain are one-star, and Trustpilot shows no overall rating for it.

Status: active. Price from: could not be confirmed for today (an archived page showed annual-billing sale prices of $350 for Core and $500 for Elite). Safety: no password asked, but follower quality and billing practices are disputed.

Checklist: Path Social is active, current price not confirmed, no password asked, 7-day refund claim, 80 percent one-star Trustpilot reviews, quality disputed.
Path Social's key facts from an archived pricing page and Trustpilot, read on 21 October 2026.

What Path Social is

Path Social describes itself as a subscription service that helps people grow their Instagram followers “organically”. It sits in our Growth Services category: you pay a recurring fee and the company runs the promotion for you, instead of selling a one-off batch of followers.

The pricing page we read says its support team is based in Los Angeles. Path Social does not say much more on that page about who owns or runs the company, and a company self-description quoted on Trustpilot gives a founding year (2019) and a user count (more than 80,000) that we could not verify. Our earlier SUEVU review said the company had operated since 2012, and we have dropped that, because we found nothing to support it.

A second site, pathsocial.co, is a billing help page that tells customers how to cancel from the dashboard and says the refund policy “applies to the original registration date”, without setting out the terms.

How we read the pages. Path Social’s main site sits behind a security check that blocked our automated requests on 21 October 2026. For the plan details below we read the most recent archived copy of its pricing page that the Internet Archive would serve us, taken on 14 October 2025, together with the pathsocial.co billing page and Trustpilot. Plans and prices may have changed since that snapshot, so treat the numbers as a guide and check the live page before you buy.

How Path Social works

According to the pricing page, Path Social starts with an “AI profile review” of your account to work out your audience and the kinds of followers who engage with it. The page says this is done “without asking for your password”. You then set targeting filters, such as relevant hashtags, and the company promotes your profile.

The promotion methods listed on the page are shout-outs to your content from what it calls a network of more than 13,000 influencers, inclusion in daily newsletters and weekly digests it says reach more than 9 million subscribers, and outreach to users who match your targeting. Those are Path Social’s own figures. We could not check them.

The pages we read do not say precisely how a shout-out or newsletter send becomes a follow on your account, and they do not describe any automated follow, like or comment actions. Earlier SUEVU coverage described the activity as bot-like. That was the former writer’s view and we cannot back it up from the pages we read, so we have removed it. What we can report is what customers say, in the next sections. For a service that sells followers outright, see our SNS Growth review.

Features

The plan comparison on the archived pricing page splits features between the two plans.

Core

  • AI profile review
  • Influencer shout-outs and email newsletter placement
  • Relevant hashtag targeting
  • Activity log of what the service does on your account
  • Real-time analytics and engagement sources
  • Estimated growth of 1,000 to 2,000 followers a month

Elite

  • Everything in Core
  • Advanced AI targeting, including following larger accounts in your niche
  • Manual targeting review by the team
  • “Ludicrous growth”: 5 to 10 times more shout-outs, email sends and targeted audiences
  • 24/7 premium support and a dedicated account success manager
  • Beta features and invitations to seminars and webinars
  • Estimated growth of 2,500 to 3,500 followers a month

The growth figures are described on the page as average results across its accounts, which may be higher or lower depending on your niche and content. They are marketing estimates, not promises, and independent reviewers (below) report different outcomes. For growth that does not depend on a service, see our guide to building an Instagram following.

Path Social pricing (as archived, read on 21 October 2026)

The snapshot we could read showed an “Anniversary Flash Sale” with 50% off annual plans. That makes it a poor guide to a normal price. We list what it showed, and we could not read the monthly-billing prices.

Plan Annual billing shown Struck-through price Per day shown Monthly billing
Instagram Core $350 $700 $0.97 Could not be confirmed
Instagram Elite $500 $1,000 $1.39 Could not be confirmed

The text we read shows these as sale prices for a year, based on the per-day figures. The page layout was not clear on whether the dollar amounts are yearly totals or “per month” labels, so confirm the exact charge and the billing period on the live checkout page before you pay. The older SUEVU review quoted $49 and $69 a month; we could not confirm either figure and do not repeat them.

  • Guarantee: the pricing page says “guaranteed growth within 7 days or we’ll give you a refund”. The terms behind that wording are not on the pages we read.
  • Cancelling: the billing page says you cancel from your dashboard, under Account and Subscription. Customers on Trustpilot report difficulty cancelling and charges after cancelling, so keep proof of the date you cancelled.
  • Refunds: the billing page says the refund policy applies to the original registration date. Trustpilot reviewers mention refund refusals under a 7-day policy. Read the full policy before paying, especially on an annual plan.

What customers report

Independent opinion is the weak point in Path Social’s case. On Trustpilot’s page for the main domain, we read the following on 21 October 2026:

  • 1,362 reviews, 219 of them in the last 12 months, with 80% one-star and 17% five-star.
  • No overall rating is shown. Trustpilot says the rating is unavailable because of a breach of its guidelines, and says it has removed a number of fake reviews for this company.
  • Negative reviews describe followers they believe were bots, fake or foreign accounts, follower counts dropping after cancelling, repeated complaints with little change and generic support replies.
  • Positive reviews praise easy setup, reliable results and better caption engagement. They are far fewer.
  • The company replies to many reviews with near-identical template messages and has told at least one reviewer that their claim “could not be verified”.

A separate Trustpilot listing for the pathsocial.co domain shows 158 reviews, 94% of them one-star, and the same “rating unavailable” notice. Complaints there centre on fake or dropping followers, refund denials, difficulty cancelling and charges after cancelling.

Trustpilot does not verify what reviewers say, so read the pattern, not any single review.

Safety and risks

Password. Path Social’s pages say they do not need your Instagram password. That removes one of the biggest account risks in this category, because handing a third party your login can let it act on your behalf. In November 2018, Instagram announced that it removes fake likes, follows and comments gained through third-party apps and asks affected people to change their password. It also said that accounts which keep using such apps to grow their audience may see a degraded Instagram experience.

Follower quality. The pages promise “real organic followers” and “no bots”. Many Trustpilot reviewers say they did not get that. We cannot tell you which side is right for your account, and we have not tested it. If followers are removed by Instagram or drop off after a few weeks, you will have paid for numbers that do not last. Services in this category also come and go: AudienceGain appears to have shut down. If you would rather try free ideas first, our guide to free followers for students lists some.

Billing. Subscription services draw a lot of complaints about unexpected charges. Before you subscribe, note the billing period, the renewal date, the cancellation steps and the refund conditions. Pay with a method you can dispute, and keep the confirmation emails.

Legal exposure for businesses. The US Federal Trade Commission’s final rule on fake reviews and testimonials, announced on 14 August 2024, bans buying or selling fake indicators of social media influence, such as followers generated by a bot or hijacked account. It applies only when the buyer knew or should have known the numbers were fake and used them to misstate their influence for a commercial purpose. Path Social says its followers are not fake, so the rule does not apply to what it says it sells. It could matter if customers’ reports of bot followers are accurate. This is not legal advice.

Pros and cons

Pros

  • The pages say it does not ask for your Instagram password.
  • An operating business with a dashboard, analytics and an activity log listed on the plans.
  • A stated 7-day growth guarantee with a refund.
  • A published help page for billing, invoices and cancelling.
  • Some customers report easy setup and gradual growth.

Cons

  • Trustpilot shows 80% one-star reviews for the main domain and no overall rating.
  • Many reviewers say the followers were fake, foreign or dropped away.
  • Complaints about cancelling and charges after cancelling.
  • Current prices could not be confirmed, and the archived page showed sale prices.
  • The marketing claims (influencer network, newsletter reach, real followers) cannot be verified independently.

Who it suits

Path Social would suit someone who wants a hands-off service, is not willing to share a password, accepts that results are uncertain and has read the cancellation and refund terms before paying. It does not suit anyone who needs proof of follower quality, a small budget they cannot afford to lose, or a firm refund guarantee. Path Social FAQ

Is PathSocial legit?

It is an operating business with a working billing page and support. Whether it delivers what it promises is disputed: Trustpilot shows 80% one-star reviews for the main domain and no overall rating. We have not tested it.

Does Path Social need my Instagram password?

Its pricing page says its AI profile review is done without asking for your password, and the Trustpilot company description says “no password required”.

How much does Path Social cost?

We could not confirm a current price. An archived copy of the pricing page (14 October 2025) showed annual-billing sale prices of $350 for Core and $500 for Elite. Check the live checkout page.

Can I get a refund?

The pricing page promises a refund if there is no growth within 7 days, and the billing page says the refund policy applies from your registration date. Some Trustpilot reviewers report refund refusals, so read the full terms first.

Can Path Social get my account banned?

We found nothing in the pages we read that says it can, and it does not take your password. Instagram has said it removes fake activity from third-party apps and that accounts which keep using them may see a degraded experience. No outside party can promise you either outcome.

How do I cancel Path Social?

The billing page says to log in to your dashboard, open Account and Subscription, choose Change in the Subscription field and select Cancel My Account. Keep a screenshot of the confirmation.
