This Mollygram review looks at a free website that says it lets you view public Instagram Stories, Highlights and Reels without an Instagram login. It sets out what Mollygram’s own pages say as of 30 October 2026, what they leave out, how Instagram’s rules apply, and what the risks are for you and for the people whose content is viewed.
We do desk research only. We did not use Mollygram or search for any account with it, so everything below comes from Mollygram’s homepage, its terms and privacy pages, its blog and the page code a browser loads, from Instagram’s own help pages, and from the review sources we could open, all read on 30 October 2026.
Quick answer: Mollygram is a live, free website branded as an “Anonymous Instagram Story Viewer”. It says no Instagram login is needed, that it works with public accounts only and that it does not bypass private-profile settings. It does not name its owner, its terms and privacy pages read like a mobile-app template from 2022, and the page loads a lot of advertising code. “Anonymous” is not explained: Instagram itself says people who view a story while signed in can be seen by its owner.
Status: active. Price: none shown; the site is ad-supported. Safety: never enter an Instagram password anywhere on it; the operator is unidentified and the privacy terms are thin.

What Mollygram is
Mollygram’s page describes the site as “a simple way to view publicly available Instagram Stories in your browser”. You enter a username or profile link and the site looks for the Stories, Highlights, Reels, photos and videos that profile has made public. The same page also uses the names Storiesig, IG viewer and anon ig viewer for the service, so the brand is not consistent even on its own homepage.

The footer says Mollygram is “not affiliated, associated with Instagram” and that it does not host any content. That puts it in the same family as the downloaders covered in our Viewers & Downloaders category, which are separate from Instagram and not endorsed by it.
How it works
The homepage gives three steps: copy a public username or profile link, paste it into the search box, then view what is available and use the download control where one is offered. It states that no Instagram login is needed, that you never enter your Instagram username or password, and that content which has expired or been removed may not be available.
Mollygram does not explain how it gets the content. Its terms only say it relies on “third parties to provide information”, and we did not test the tool, so we cannot say whether a view is recorded anywhere. That gap matters for the word “anonymous”, covered next.
What “anonymous” means here
Instagram’s help center says that when you see someone’s story, “they’ll be able to tell that you’ve seen it”, and that the story owner sees the viewer list by swiping up on the story. That list can be viewed for up to 48 hours after posting, according to Instagram’s help page on who has seen your story. It describes signed-in accounts viewing stories inside Instagram.
Mollygram’s pitch is that you can look without being signed in, so no account of yours would appear in that list. The site does not describe what it records about you. Its privacy policy names advertising and analytics products, and says third-party code may use cookies, so the more accurate reading is “anonymous to the account owner”, not “anonymous online”. A related claim to watch for on any such site is the promise to open private accounts; Mollygram does not make it, and says it does not bypass private-profile settings.
What it offers
- Story viewer: current public Stories that are still live.
- Highlights: Stories an account has chosen to keep on its profile.
- Reels, photos and videos: public posts from the profile, with a download control “where it is available”.
- Profile photo viewer and IGTV downloader: listed in the downloader menu.
- Languages: the site is offered in a dozen languages, including German, Spanish, French, Japanese and Turkish.
The page says nothing about how fast it is, how many requests you can make or whether it keeps a history of what you looked up. For legitimate ways to save content you own or have permission to use, see our guide to saving Instagram photos.
Cost and ads
No price, premium plan or subscription appears on the homepage, so we treat it as free to use and paid for by advertising. The page code a browser loads on 30 October 2026 includes scripts from Google’s advertising services, the video ad network vdo.ai, PubMatic, ID5, OpenX, Yahoo ConnectID and the Yandex Metrica analytics tag, plus a Cloudflare bot-check script. A video ad sat directly under the search box when we captured the page. Ads on sites like this can change at any time and are not controlled by Mollygram’s visitors.
Who runs it
We could not find who operates Mollygram. The terms and privacy pages give only the brand name and an email address, with no company name, address, registration or governing law. Both pages are dated 11 September 2022 and talk about an “app”, Google Play Services, AdMob, Firebase and Facebook, which suggests a template written for a mobile app rather than for this website. The contact page offers a Telegram handle and a form instead of a postal address.
The site’s blog has six posts, and none is about Instagram: they cover a relationship-reading app, livestream recording, matched betting, Alberta’s online gambling rules, esports memberships and a digital-experience service. The homepage also links to an iPhone app in the App Store, and we did not verify whether it comes from the same operator.
Safety and risks
- Credentials: the site says it never asks for your Instagram login. Instagram’s help center warns that giving your username and password to a third-party app or website can get an account restricted, so never do that on a site like this. See our guide to what to do if your Instagram account is hacked.
- Privacy: the operator is unidentified, the policy has no retention period or jurisdiction, and the page runs several ad and tracking scripts. Treat your search terms as potentially visible to those parties.
- Ads and prompts: be careful with pop-ups, surveys and download prompts on any ad-supported viewer, and check that you are on the exact domain you meant to visit.
- Instagram’s rules: Instagram’s help center says its Terms of Use don’t allow access or collection of information in unauthorized ways, which it calls data scraping. Mollygram says it is not affiliated with Instagram, and its method is not stated. The tools we cover under Instagram automation raise the same question for any service that works on Instagram’s data without Meta’s permission.
- Reliability: viewers like this depend on Instagram’s systems, so they can stop working or change without notice.
- Respect for people: viewing someone’s public content is not the same as having their permission to download or reuse it. Mollygram’s own page asks you to respect the creator’s rights.
For account owners
If you do not want strangers viewing your content, the setting that matters is privacy. Instagram’s help center says that on a private account only approved followers can see your photos and videos, while on a public account anyone on Instagram can. Your profile photo, name, username and bio are visible to anyone on or off Instagram on both account types. Public accounts’ stories can also show up in places like Search and Explore, according to Instagram’s public and private account page. Our Explore page guide explains how that reach works. Accounts under 18 are private by default.
What users say
We could not find a Mollygram profile on Trustpilot, and we found no independent security audit. Most of the written reviews in search results come from rival viewer sites, affiliate pages and parental-control vendors, so we did not use them for any claim here.
Pros and cons
Pros
- Free to use, with no sign-up or Instagram login.
- States plainly that it works with public accounts only and does not bypass private profiles.
- Browser-based, so nothing to install, in several languages.
- Covers Stories, Highlights, Reels, photos and profile pictures in one place.
Cons
- Owner, company and address are not named.
- Terms and privacy pages are dated 2022 and read like an app template.
- Heavy advertising and tracking code, with a video ad under the search box.
- “Anonymous” is not explained, and the method of fetching content is not stated.
- Not affiliated with Instagram, and its use of Instagram data sits outside Instagram’s rules on automated collection.
- No independent reviews or audits we could find.
Who it suits
Mollygram is aimed at people who want to look at public Instagram content without an account, such as checking a brand’s public Stories or saving a public Highlight they have permission to use. It is a poor fit for anyone who is not comfortable with an unnamed operator and ad networks, and it is not a way to see private accounts, which no legitimate service can do. If you only need to follow accounts you care about, an Instagram account of your own is the safer route.
Alternatives
Instagram’s own apps are the safe way to watch Stories, and the creator’s own account or a request is the safe way to get a copy of their content. For brand research, see our Instagram tools roundup. Other viewer sites exist, but each has the same questions about who runs it and how it works, so check their own pages on the day you decide.
Mollygram FAQ
Is Mollygram free?
No price or paid plan is shown on its homepage, and the page carries ads, so it appears to be free and ad-supported.
Does Mollygram need my Instagram password?
Its page says no Instagram login is required and that you never enter your username or password. Do not give your Instagram password to any viewer site.
Can Mollygram view private accounts?
No. The page says it works only with public accounts and does not bypass private-profile settings.
Is Mollygram really anonymous?
It lets you look without signing in, so your account would not appear in a story’s viewer list inside Instagram. The page does not say what Mollygram or its ad partners record about you, so anonymity beyond that is unconfirmed.
Is Mollygram safe?
We could not confirm. The operator is not named, the privacy terms are thin and the page loads many advertising scripts. Keep your Instagram login out of it and be careful with pop-ups and download prompts.
Is Mollygram affiliated with Instagram?
No. Its footer says it is “not affiliated, associated with Instagram”, and Instagram’s help center says unauthorized collection of its data is against its Terms of Use.
