In this article, you can easily find all the information you need about IcedOut Proxies before you decide whether this proxy provider is what you need.

Are their proxies worth buying, and will they meet your online marketing and privacy needs?

This 3-minute read addresses it all!

What Is IcedOut Proxies?

IcedOut Proxies is yet another proxy provider on the market.

They sell two types of proxies:

  • Residential
  • Datacenter

Their services are mostly centered around datacenter proxies, so I’ll start from there.

Datacenter proxies provide you with anonymity in the sense that you won’t be using your IP address. Instead, it will come from a secondary server.

However, datacenter proxies are not connected to an ISP (Internet Service Provider). So, they do not come from real users (unlike residential proxies).

Therefore, they may be easier to detect and get blacklisted by websites and search engines.

Social media algorithms are especially aimed at blocking some datacenter proxies.

If your primary focus is on using an IP to mask your use of automation software, such as Instagram bots, it’s better to go for IcedOut Proxies’ residential IPs.

And while datacenter proxies can be useful for some things, like:

  • Your brand protection
  • Web monitoring of your employees
  • Email protection
  • General cybersecurity

You still might want to get residential proxies if your primary aim is market research, data scraping, or travel fare aggregation.

IcedOut Proxies is heavily concentrated on its foremost purpose: sneaker bots.

In fact, on their Twitter profile, you’ll find testimonies from multiple IcedOut users who have had success using their proxies for getting limited sneakers, and so on.

Sneaker websites are very good at detecting bots, so this is where you’ll want to use residential proxies.

IcedOut Proxies activates your residential sneaker proxies at a specific time, meaning that they will be completely optimized for limited deals.

So, they expire soon, and you’ll need to buy residential proxies again before the next drop of sneakers.

IcedOut Proxies straight up tells you that its datacenter proxies are at higher risk of getting banned, which is a fair warning.

Best IcedOut Proxies Features

Here are the IcedOut Proxies features that I decided to single out:

Proxy Pool

There are about 110,000 proxies that you get to use. This is on a par with other proxy providers out there.

Locations

Honestly, I was not satisfied with the geo-restrictions you’ll face when using IcedOut Proxies.

Its IPs are limited to the US for both residential and datacenter IPs.

When it comes to datacenter proxies, you can only choose from three locations:

  • NY
  • VA
  • Chicago

There are proxy providers that offer much more, from advanced country targeting globally to city-targeting. IcedOut Proxies simply fails in this aspect.

Customer Service

Whereas IcedOut Proxies’ dashboard CS isn’t live, and you may have to wait for an answer to your query up to 24 hours, there’s a better way to reach them:

Via the Discord #create_ticket channel, where they’ll answer within an hour or so.

IcedOut Proxies Pricing

In general, IcedOut Proxies tariff plans are pricey:

An image depicting IcedOut Proxies’ monthly datacenter pricing plans

As you can see, they are based on a single location. So, if you buy – for example – New York datacenter proxies, you won’t be able to use VA or Chicago ones.

Given that locations are already limited, I have to admit this left me underwhelmed.

Plus, their weekly plans go up to $160 – don’t you think that’s a bit too expensive for these features?

Not to mention that the release-based residential IPs are inconvenient.

You’ll have to pay hundreds – even thousands – of dollars per month if you want to continuously use IcedOut Proxies’ proxies.

More affordable proxy providers: Proxyland

IMO, there’s no need to pay a premium price for the basic features when there are so many affordable proxy providers out there.

If you go for the best IcedOut Proxies alternative, Proxyland, you’ll get:

  • High-quality residential proxies
  • No need to commit to HUGE monthly plans
  • Only $2.9 per GB
  • All use cases
  • Large proxy pool
  • 100+ countries to choose from
  • No monthly commitments
  • 99% uptime
  • Budget-friendly price
  • Fast response time
  • Unlimited concurrent connections
  • Quick setup

If you’re wondering how it is possible that it’s so affordable compared to some other providers – it’s because Proxyland made sure to cater to individuals and smaller companies’ needs, too.

And props to them for that!

IcedOut Proxies vs. Competitors

In case you are browsing the internet looking for a top-notch proxy provider, IcedOut Proxies is just one of the options.

You can see below how it compares to other names in the industry:

Proxyland4.8$2.9 per GB
Luminati4$17.5 per GB
Smartproxy3.4$15 per GB

Is IcedOut Proxies Any Good?

Well, if you only wish to get your hands on the best limited sneakers, IcedOut Proxies is a great choice in the sense that they are efficient and reliable.

You won’t get blocked if you use IcedOut Proxies.

However, even that’s limited. They’ll target sites only in the US.

And if we are talking about other things, such as broad-scale data extracting, there are much better providers out there.

Why You Should Try IcedOut Proxies

  • The company is not a scam.
  • If you want datacenter proxies, it could be useful.
  • The same goes if you are looking for USA-based IPs for the sneaker bots.

Why You Should NOT Try IcedOut Proxies

  • They charge too much for the features you get.
  • Pricing plans are unaffordable for individuals and small to mid-sized companies.
  • They will ask you to make huge monthly commitments.
  • Limited locations in the proxy pool.
  • You’ll need to pay loads of money to buy residential IPs as they are time-limited.
  • There’s no option to pay as you go.

The Best Alternative To IcedOut Proxies

Not too fond of steep price tags and limited locations of IcedOut Proxies?

Yeah, I don’t think anyone should settle for that.

There is an alternative that provides solutions to both of these problems:

Proxyland has a giant proxy pool with IPs coming from more than 100 countries, AND it’s only $29 for 10GB – so, effectively, just $2.9 per GB.

Oh, and did I mention they don’t have monthly commitments? You pay as you go.

IcedOut Proxies: Overall Score

Features: IcedOut has OK features. ✅

Trustworthiness: IcedOut Proxies is a legit company. ✅

Performance: Stable connection, fast response. ✅

Flexibility: Limited; they don’t have advanced geo-targeting. ⛔

Price: Hefty price plans with big monthly commitments you have to make. ⛔

Accessibility for small businesses: Nope; small businesses should search elsewhere. ⛔

Affordability: Affordable just for a month or two. ⛔

As we are nearing the end of this IcedOut Proxies review, the consensus is the following:

I don’t believe that IcedOut Proxies is worth its price tag. That’s unfortunate because it has a lot of prospects. But the features are just too simple for thousands of dollars.

If you agree with me and don’t like monthly subscriptions, check out Proxyland.

It offers much more affordable deals, and you get all you need for less money.
